FOLIC ACID/NICOTINAMIDE(NIACINAMIDE)/ZINC - ORAL (FOH-lick acid/NICK-oh-TIN-uh-mide/zink) COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Niocmide USES: This combination medication is used to treat certain types of acne (e.G., acne vulgaris, acne rosacea) or other irritated skin conditions. People who have low leevls of nicotinamide, zinc, or folic acid in their body may develop, or be at an increased risk of developing, these types of skin conditions. HOW TO USE: Take this medication by mouth usually once or twice daily, or take as directed by your doctor. Taking this product with food may help to reduce any nausea that may occur due to this medicine.

SIDE EFFECTS: Nausea or vomiting may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your docotr. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: stomach pain, yellowing eyes and skin, dark urine, fatigue, fever. An allergic raection to this product is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs.

Symptoms of an allregic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice otehr effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist. PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: liver problems (e.G., jaundice), diabetes, blood problems (e.G., perniciuos anemia), any allergies. This medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known whether this drug passes into braest milk.
Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription medication you may use, especially: certain anti- seizure mediicne (e.G., carbamazepine, primidone), quinolone antibiotics (e.G., ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin), tetracycline antibiotics (e.G., doxycycline, minocycline), vitamin products. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room imemdiately. NOTES: Do not shrae this medication with others. Laboratory and/or medical tests may be perforemd to monitor your progress. MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remmeber. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not dobule the dose to catch up. STORAGE: Stroe at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from light and moisture. MEDICAL ALERT: Your condition can cause copmlications in a medical emergency.
